Guidelines for Publishing Conference Contributions on External Platforms (e.g., ResearchGate)

As of: July 2025

The visibility and citability of scientific work are of great importance to many presenters. As the organizers of the EEHE Conference, we encourage our authors to make their contributions accessible to a broader academic audience – particularly through well-established platforms such as ResearchGate.

Please take note of the following guidelines and rules when publishing your contribution:

1. Responsibility of the Authors

Publishing conference contributions on platforms such as ResearchGate or institutional repositories is the sole responsibility of the authors. In particular, the following aspects must be observed:

  • The consent of all co-authors must be obtained in advance.
  • Third-party rights (e.g., of companies, funding bodies, or publishers) must not be violated.
  • If there is any uncertainty regarding the rights to images, data, or content, clarification must be sought beforehand.

2. Source Attribution

When publishing your contribution on external platforms, we kindly ask that you clearly cite the EEHE Conference as the source. A suitable reference might be:

Published as part of the EEHE Conference [Year], [Conference Location], [if applicable: DOI or link to the conference website]

3. DOIs and Citability

Some platforms (such as ResearchGate) offer the option to assign a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to uploaded materials. This can greatly enhance the discoverability and citability of your work.
Using this feature is entirely at the discretion of the authors. Please note that the EEHE organizers do not currently assign DOIs.

4. Questions and Contact

If you have any questions regarding publication or copyright issues, please contact the EEHE organizing team.

Thank you for your contribution and for supporting the EEHE Conference!
