Holistic Energy Management: HV Integration, 48V Transition, and Powernet Optimization
A holistic, software-defined energy system integrating high-voltage (HV) and 48V domains is key to meeting the demands of future vehicle architectures. Siloed HV and LV systems cause redundant development, higher costs, and slow innovation.
EDAG’s approach breaks these silos: We combine HV and 48V in a scalable, zonal architecture with intelligent energy management and early validation via digital twins.
Our RACE concept, developed with Bosch, demonstrates this: two independent HV/48V supplies, decentralized 48V/12V conversion, and advanced software control. The result is less weight and package, higher efficiency, and significant cost savings by reducing wiring and storage. This integrated platform is ready for HAD, X-by-wire, Vehicle-to-X, and the industry’s transition to 48V and beyond.
